greetings from florida. its great that you are starting young and found this forum. It is full of extremely great information. I started scrapping when I was 17 and in high school also, and now within not too many years I have grown from just an f-150 to f-350 all the way to having semi trucks to haul scrap. Remember to always be polite and professional in everything that you do, because you never know who you are talking to. I was talking to a guy in line to pay at a gas station and ended up getting a contract to scrap all the old shelving out of our local dollar tree, and while on that job got a job scrapping out the ragshop and that has led to working for Walmart, lowes, olive garden, and more. I started by going to plumbers, electricians, and
a/c contractors and offering to clean up their shop and giving them money.
I specialize in mostly common metals and cardboard, but was thinking about
e-waste and this forum taught me sooooo much about that area that I previously knew hardly anything about, and what I thought I did know, I learned was a little wrong lol. make sure to search and read, but then if you have questions, never be afraid to ask, there are tons of people that will help you.
