    Green Horn Entering the Fray

    Hello!

I have been in the IT industry for some time and decided to try my hand at Escrap. There is a huge need for disposal in my area and I am looking to possibly fill that need. Hopefully this will lead to some good jobs for people, and a cleaner dump in this area.

Welcome to SMF from the Dakota's. I hope you luck and assume since you did not disclose your location, it might be the honey hole Winnie the Pooh sought. Regardless this is a great community. Like everything else, the more effort and contributions, the greater the rewards. We love pictures and insight. Technology scrapping is new to me since I am only dipping my toes into it, so not much help. My start was major demolition projects such as water tanks and power plants. With the down turn of metal prices there has been an evolution into non ferrous. Now the education will evolve into computers since I have 25 desktops to salvage. Long story short, evolve with the time and use the search button in the upper right corner. Good luck.
Give back more to this world than we take.

    Welcome from Upstate New York.

If you don't have a lot of space, get yourself a rental storage unit. I know that I myself have more than I can handle right now. I have a contact that told me he had a few laptops, which turned into two full totes and about forty towers. He called the other day saying he had "some" hard drives for me. I hauled 927 pounds of those little suckers to my storage unit and Wow, is it a mess!

There is potential for it to be a honey hole of sorts. It would essentially be a large operation funded by another source. I am hoping it will work out, and will update if I do find out something in the coming weeks.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

    Greetings from Wyoming!

Hey, I've never put my location in my settings, but we all know where I am!

There's a lot of great stuff here about E-Waste. Don't forget the more than scrap value parts- they can add up quickly!
