We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

    Greetings from Wyoming!

I have to agree with Mechanic- I can't think of anyone off-hand here who's done that. I think you'd have to find someone that deals with a lot of appliance recycling. Sadly, I can't provide much help here....

You might be a little late to the party...not the first one in the developing world to think of exporting various scrap items from the US or North America. Good luck on your plans!

I wonder how many times "foreign importers seeking scrap metal" are just posers playing a prank on the forum?? I think I get that once an while on CL ads. Just people getting off on seeing people responding to inquires...

Theres been genuine buyers here before, 'Leviduty' I think was his name, from the Dominican republic.
I don't think he ever did get a seller from here.

But, he was able to educate us about the business and provided a lot of insight to what they do with the compressors.

This sort of item is going to become a sought after product. If it still works, its worth more than scrap to the buyer.
If its broken, it can be fixed by the buyer, or scrapped for its Tax free imported metals and recycled.
Above all, it provides jobs for unemployed people in Third world countrys. And airconditioning and fridges and such..... For cheap affordable prices.

A couple of questions to the OP.
What Voltage do you want? 110V AC or 240 Volt AC?
Do you want the 'Invertor - heatpump' compressors?
Would you buy the whole Heatpump invertor 'as is', complete but used? (the Cu/Al radiator is worth about NZ$35+)
How should the compressors be prepaired? Leave the oil in it and leave a few inches of Copper line on the compessor, but bend the end of it over a few times to stop oil comming out?
    Seperated by style of compressor?
Labled as to the source of the compressor and/or other details?
Do you want any of the other parts on the fridge/freezer/ Air conditioning system as well? Thermostats. Invertor circuitboard. Relays etc.
Amount of compressors? By the pallet or by the shipping container?
Where are they going too and whats the end use?
Who pays what and how does the seller get paid? (escrow?)
