I am a hobby Salvagist in Atlanta, GA and seem to be getting more and more involved. I do have a question on Plated Copper wire. Can I sell the plated metal wire the same as all copper?
Let me know if you have an answer. Thanks.

Hello from Illinois! Glad you have made it here!
As you will learn the longer you hang around the search button is a great friend. A quick search should reveal the answers. All my copper plated rods or wires end up in the shred pile.

Plated (tinned) copper wire goes as Number 2 Copper. On the other hand, steel wire plated with copper, as mentioned by JnJunk, goes as shred (low grade steel scrap). Use a magnet and file to sort them out.
