    Scrap ship vessels

    Hello Scrap metallist!

I'm a newbie here and I'm intrigued by the level of activities going on in the site. I've been searching for an online forum of this nature as I'm into the business of finding markets for scrap ship vessels domiciled in Africa. I'm looking forward to learning more about the ship scrapping industry from experienced members in the house. Thank you.

    Adeshina.

With the price of iron so low in value, I think the ships have to stay in Africa. Too expensive to transport, too high labor costs.

Labor rates in ( in general ) are going to be $3 - $8 USD per day per worker according to Google.
Heavy melt scrap wholesales for a bit over $220 USD a ton.
Another Google search shows that commercial scrap ships sell for $1,500,000 - $12,000,000 USD each depending on weight.
