We Sell 3,000+ Junk Cars A Year

    Hello SMF!

Wanted to join and introduce my self. I run a nationwide car donation company. We currently work with 150 salvage yards and scrap metal recyclers. Looking to do business with new buyers and transporters.

    Happy to talk junk cars!

How many cars do you actually donate to someone? Or do you just get them for free and scrap them?

I personally don't have a problem with charities as long as the majority of the money actually goes to help those in need........The problem becomes when "the powers that be" get greedy.......Hopefully you are one of the "good guys"

Not one of the big charities. We actual are not a charity, we are contracted by charities to work for them. We only process the cars, the remaining goes direct to the charity, and we only work with small charities that don't have the ability to handle car donations them selves. It is up to the charity what is done with the vehicles. However we have completely facilitated the transfer from donors to a new families on a bunch of handicap accessible vehicles this year, and by no means have we benefited from that at all.

If you are interested, we will donate part of our purchase price for your catalytic converters to any of your charities. You get the best prices on converters and a donation, we all win.

.I think the Op is an unethical individuale for soliciting without any mention of which organisation he represents.

No money laundering. I just want to pay the highest prices for the converters and hopefully give something to a well known and legal non-profit if possible. Thank you.

Sorry Alloy, but I think you are jumping to conclusions. I dont know the OP in any way, but he certainly is not obliged to tell us his specific clientele. He states that he is looking "to do business", and not advocating for donations from what I see. In addition, ADA is making a solid proposal that could be beneficial to the charities that the OP works with. Many of us find creative (legal) ways to improve our businesses AND support local non-profits. Heck, even eBay has an option for a seller to donate part of their proceeds to charities. Would you lump the buyer and seller on one of those eBay transactions as criminal (tax avoidance/money laundering)? It wont cost you a penny to give the guy the benefit of the doubt before flaming him on a public forum. Sounds to me he wants to talk about junk cars...maybe people in that field could benefit from his knowledge/experience just as I have on the eWaste side.

The Op's first two posts looks like a checker board of red flags.

They look pretty innocuous to me. He helps charities through his knowledge of scrapping cars, and provides services that they cant do themselves. The charity solicits the donations and a third party does the logistics...fairly simple. Anyway, welcome to the Forum CADP...we are a cautious, sometimes cynical bunch, but all part of a big family

I am looking for a way by buying the Op's catalytic converters to:
    1. Generate more business for my corporation
    2. Create a new revenue stream for the OP
    3. Offering an idea to help the charities more

We are not here to play any games. If the OP turns out to be a scam artist, they will not deal with me or my corporation period. At this point, I am giving the OP a fair chance.

    Thank you

Well, I also purchase and dispose of about 3-4k vehicles a year. Charities are always calling us asking to open up new relationships. I don't see anything wrong with what he wrote. Honestly, I wouldn't say whom I was working with either. Also, his contract may not allow him to. So give the guy a break, let us talk about Recycling cars and how to optimize the return. Also, he states if you or any of us wants to do business let him know.
