    Thanks and greetings

I make my living in the pipe organ business in Canada and this month I've been fully employed by it for 33 years. I don't actively seek out unwanted or wrecked organ pipes but I end-up with quite a few. Organ pipes are made primarily out of sheet Zinc (for large pipes) and tin/lead alloys of varying lead/tin ratios. There are pure lead and pure tin organ pipes but they're so rare it's hardly worth mentioning. There are some other metals used like brass, copper and aluminum. I'm here to learn and offer my two cents about the subject of metal organ pipe composition when the subject surfaces ( I see that it has) and how best to market used metal organ pipes to scrappers. Who knows? I might learn and be able to offer more than I bargained for.

Many thanks to the administrators for maintaining this forum.

    I wish everyone well.
