My first post after four years

I've been visiting this site for a long time. I went to make my first post but I can't post pics yet apparently.

Scrapping stuff and going to the dump are both "fun" to me. I also love to know the value of everything. The value to myself, the value to others, the value someone will pay.

Anyway, I have a property with several houses and outbuildings, everything is likely to be demolished and removed. It has some unique features that can't be rebuilt like a boat house and bulk head. I'm trying to be smart about it. #1 I don't want to tear down anything that can't be rebuilt (due to code changes over the years). #2 I want to sell anything with value #3 I don't want to pay to take stuff to the dump if someone would take it for free. Along the same lines I don't want to pay a dump fee on material that can easily be recycled.

I just don't have the experience with demolition. Since it's my first time I want to do it right.

Welcome! If you've been a lurking presence, then you know there's lots of information out in the many threads. If not answered, post some questions and I'm sure you'll get some replies. I think you need 10 posts to be able to do pictures. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

It's the type thing I could really get into. Not sure how worthwhile it is but could be addicting.
