I'm trying to find information about lead battery recycling and who buys them? U.S companies or overseas...?

You have to call around to different shops / yards in your area. A car battery can sell for $2 - $5 in my area, but this price can be different were you are at.

General location and rough quantities may help with suggestions
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

I've been meaning to ask Mikeinreco about the person he helped with a school project recently. Did they ever contact you and let you know how their project came out?

Gosh.. prices have tanked where you are. When I used to recycle cars I was getting between $12 and $14 per battery!
    OUCH!

They pay by the pound here. 20 to 25 cents a pound is average for here and that's for the last 4 or 5 years.
