Welcome to SMF and our corner of the world. In similar situations as yours I have offered the owner 1/3 - 2/3 for all the machinery (land lease deal). I remove all the non ferrous and pay them based on weight according to the original deal. I started out with a stock trailer that I hand loaded. A torch allowed me to break things down to the size to be hand loaded. Then bought a flatbed and used com-a-longs to load machinery. Next was a
winch followed by a skid steer and then a loader.
To summarize, your employer might have a lot of these tools, work a deal and maybe he would be willing to have you haul it off during slow times for a larger percentage of the profits. Just a thought.
