Welcome to the forum. What its worth is really up to you. If your new to scrapping, then the best advise for you is to read the old posts. There is a ton of information here and your answer just might be somewhere in there. Familiarize yourself with your products and break down the things as you see fit. Profit depends on what you want to make. Well wishes and happy scrapping.

Welcome to the forum. You've been given good advise already. I will add my thoughts. As a new scrapper I recommend you break them down and decide for yourself if its worth it to you. You will then know what's inside them and be better able to judge other things in the future.

t00ces2, I have a relatively sizable pile of copper, aluminum, brass and metal but I wasn't sure about the flush valves.
Thanks you guys. I thought since being new, I would get some specific pointed advise to whomever had scrapped them before. I'm a precious metal buyer but haven't seriously dabbled in semi-precious metals before. New to threads too so, sorry if I'm not too versed in all this.
I did a search and don't really have a clue as to what their scrap value is. I think they're chrome plated brass?

Miked gave you some very good advice. I've never scrapped a flush valve before and wasn't really sure what they were until I googled it.
If I did have one I would take it apart, get a file and magnet and see what type or types of metal are in a flush valve.
The next step would be to go to your local scrap yard and get pricing on one that you took apart and compare that to the price of one you didn't take apart.
Was it worth your time? Only you can answer that question.
