    Smile Howdy all!

Just found this forum, neat site! New to the scrapping world, I work HVAC so i come across junk condensers, evaporator coils and copper tubing for linesets. I am EPA certified so all the refrigerant is reclaimed (of course) before i begin cutting up. I have learned just by browsing here to cut off the metal ends with the circuit loops to get more for my coils. I would have never known that! Don't really have room or knowledge or means to scrap other stuff, so I will just stick to coils and copper for now. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome to the forum. That all sounds just great. when I was into HVAC, I had plenty of old systems to scrap plus all the plumbing stuff to. It was nice to get a little extra after the job was finished.

    Happy scrapping

hi welcome=) now for coils what i do is i take out the copper tubes then i end up with sheet ali and #1 tubes 1.90 vs maybe 1.00 you get for them whole just my 2cents you make a little more doing it that way. i also dont count the time it takes to get them out either time is irrelevant when scrapping to me=) i sure would like to get a/c's as much as you do that copper would add up fast=)
