Hello, new & no clue!

Welcome to the forum. Save up material until you know more if you have the room to store it. Get educated for free. Read the old threads here on the forum. Search or just randomly choose threads to start reading since you are new every thread will teach you something.

My personal experience with stripping wire with a wire stripper is it was not worth it to me. I could and did make far more money getting and processing more and different materials. Only you can decide where to better spend your time and that normally takes hands on experience. I do not recommend buying a wire stripper a time soon.

As for your personal financial I highly recommend Dave Ramsey. He does radio talk show and has a great web site with free pod cast type recordings of his radio shows. He does sell books and other stuff but his books are likely at your local library. He teaches the real way to get out of debt and save for your family's future. Welcome to SMF from the Dakota's. When you get set up this will be a nice supplement to your income. The forum has all kinds of threads discussing wire strippers from home made models to industrial machines. If you are handy at all, you might consider making your own and manually strip the wire until you have a good cushion for investing. You can move up to a drill powered homemade model and expand into the commercial machines. In the upper right hand corner of this post you will see a search box. I would have to say your wife is quite the woman to work all day then drag #50-100lb of insulated wire from trash everyday........That is quite impressive and I congratulate your persistence!!!!!!!!!
