New member from NC. Acquired large number of surplus electronics

    Good morning,
I have bought and sold bullion silver and gold off and on for a number of years but stopped in 2013 or so due to family emergencies. I recently came across a large number of surplus industrial circuit breakers (along with lots of non-precious metal fuses, etc) and I have been working to remove all the contacts. Some are as small as the diameter of a pencil eraser, some are much larger and weigh up to 5.5 grams each.

I have been wanting to join for awhile but only recently had more of a justified reason to. I look forward to reading, learning and discussing the ins and outs of my new “adventure”.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Welcome fellow north carolinian. Industrial circuit breakers can have good silver, but also be alloyed with nasty things like cadmium. Do your homework. This forum is a great place to learn

There were a couple posts about silver recovery from breakers a couple years ago
