    I'm new to this site...

    hi everyone:

I'm brand new to this site, but have been on the RealCent.org site for about 5 years or so and have been recycling scrap metal about the same amount of time. I look for metals in commercial dumpsters and construction dumpsters not far from where I live (I like to keep my residential location private). I also like driving around just before the local rubbish pickups to see what kind of stuff people leave in front of their houses. I also look for loose change in the return chutes of Coinstar machines, vending machines, etc.

Random item: On my birthday 11 years ago I found a $100 bill on the ground in a checkout aisle at a local Sam's Club. I was with my wife and they had so many checkout aisles I figured she couldn't have planted it there. She had no idea which aisle I would choose. Actually, she isn't the type of person who would do that anyway.

Another random item: I like following the stock market and have been trading quite actively for about 20 years.

    Welcome to the forum.

Just remember that if you ask questions that could have different answers in different parts of the world, you will get the wrong answer every time. To be honest, you should trust your fellow SMF members, we are not your average scrap guy. This is better than your Sunday family dinner gathering.

    Happy scrapping
