My family and I have run a telecommunications business here in Texas for over 30 years. Over the course of these 30+ years, we've acquired massive amount of surplus telecommunications equipment. Much of it high-end satellite encoders, amplifiers, decoders, modems, up and down converters, etc.
A big part of our business was also designing and manufacturing various satellite based equipment. As a result, we have a huge inventory of unused circuit board components (IC s, resistors, capacitors, connectors, transformers, relays, etc., etc.)
Unfortunately, business is winding down, and we're thinking we need to start cleaning up…
I’ve been doing quite a bit of research lately on the possibility of disassembling and scrapping some of the higher-end stuff. This site is by far the best source of information I've come across… Full of some of the friendliest, most knowledgeable folks out there.
I'm going to continue to read through the older threads to try and learn as much as I can before asking too many questions. However, I know I'm going to have some, and I want to thank everyone in advance… I know I'm in the right place for a little guidance.
I appreciate all the hard work that you all put into this business, and appreciate the opportunity to be part of your forum. Thank you all for having me.
David
