    Welcome to the forum.

There is a bit of a learning curve with e-waste but it's a good education.

Tearing through hundreds of pc's and Macs will make you a better tech. That way you've got it both on the software and the hardware end. It can give you a real appreciation of how the technology has grown and evolved from the 1970's up until the present day.

    * Warning * E-waste can be kind of addictive. It's a fun day when you score some old telecom stuff that's rich in precious metals. Some guys get gold fever at the outset .... but that cools after awhile.

    Hi welcome for the initiative..

After a busy business discussions with my friend at a local tea shop me and my friend decided to start a e-waste recycling business in my country which is India, state of Tamil nadu. Having that in mind we have applied for Industrial place and bank loans. Awaiting for the result and studying the environmental standards by the government i would like to share some of my thoughts.

What I understood after a study is that, you got machine for everything.!! Human work needed to check if the device could be re-used with some repairing or take off the hazardous substance in it and put it in shredder and followed by eddy current separator. In that process you get all the metals and plastics get chipped and separated

Let me get your updated as and when you progress.
