    New from Massachusetts

    Hi all,
I'm in the process of clearing 40+ years of clutter out my house and coming across lots of metallic things I need information about. So far I've created two piles of metals (that being the ferrous and non-ferrous). Of course the ferrous pile is far bigger than the non-ferrous. I've never been to a scrap yard, but will soon. It's been interesting learning and this is a great resource. Thanks!

Welcome to SMF from the Buffalo Commons. I think most of the members on the forum started in a similar situation, cleaning out their own stuff. Therefore you are in good company as many became addicted after they tasted the Kool-Aid. A lot of good information is available in the library. Good luck to you and if you do become addicted, we will see you around. BTW we do love pictures as you will see in the numerous posts.
Give back more to this world than we take.

Hey thanks for such a nice welcome Buffalo Commons!
Yeah, it's already heading in that addictive direction, where it feels like I'm spending way too much time researching things that just a few months ago I would have dragged to the end of the driveway to be picked up.

    Thank you.
I'm in Bedford MA. Not the New Bedford, the "old" one.
