Greetings,

My name is Robert Orr and I am the Warehouse Technician for CCS Presentation Systems. I work with the Southeastern branch of this nationally recognized company that services Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee with excellent A/V solutions. At CCS our job is to make you look good.

In a growing A/V industry, and in the installation/integration field, we tend to cycle through a lot of different equipment and end up having to toss or scrap obsolete equipment, parts and accessories. The bulk of our scrapping, however, comes from cables. When we go through a new install in a new building, we will often have to pull out entire existing cable runs put in by the original developers and technicians in order to replace them with our products. That often times leaves us with heaps of scrap cable that didn't even belong to us in the first place. There are also a lot of devices that come with extra cables that we simply cannot continue to keep due to potential overstock of seldom used cable types.

So, if I am in need of help with anything in my time here on SMF, it would be an easy alternative to hauling cable to a scrap yard and stripping it ourselves. General operations doesn't want us spending labor hours on hauling scrap cables to a recycling yard, and they also don't want to pay for the hauling services of another company. That leaves me in a bit of a tough position as far as options go. If anyone has any knowledge of cable buyers in the greater Jacksonville, FL area please do not hesitate to message me.

Mikeinreco would be a good contact person based on his posts here. You have come to the right place as many of the people here would provide you with a percentage of the profits and get the best deal they can for your company. Depending on the amount of product, you might be able to host the company Christmas Party next year, great PR that the company would notice. Thanks, Mike! I know that Knoxville is quite the trek from Jacksonville, so I'm not sure how much I can offer in terms of meeting you halfway. I'll send you an email with some pictures of what we have, dimensions of the bin, etc. to see if it's worth the time and money.
