    Hello World!

Hello everyone. My name is Tsele and I am from the only country in the world with a minimum altitude above 3300ft. Does anyone know? Anyway, I am looking to start a scrap metal business. Any tips would be highly appreciated. I am clueless when it comes to the scrap metal world. I am eager to learn from this great community. Thanks

Welcome to our little world at SMF. The best advice I can offer to your question is to start reading our vast library of information located in the old thread. Use the advanced search in the upper right hand corner of this page to find specific topics you are interested in. If you find a valuable thread, look on the bottom of the page for similar threads. The first tool to invest in is a good magnet. Here are two valuable threads to get you started:

Good luck on finding metal in those there mountains.

What kind of business are you trying to start, like the guy going around getting the metal? The feeder yard, or the processor? If your in another country you may need to learn the way metal is disposed of currently in your country and learn laws specific to your area to be successful. But anything can be achieved if you work for it. The metal working and labor part will be mostly the same as anywhere but networking and the methods of establishing local contacts with metal to get rid of may be different depending on where you are.

Welcome to the forum. I have to admit I needed to google Lesotho since I had never heard of it. A very unique history and similar to Vatican City being entirely inside another country. 73, Mike
