Just speculation:
It's understandable. Most of the insurance types are straight line concrete thinkers. It's all about the numbers and business with them. Many don't have a creative bone in their body.
Artists ... well they're the creative type though they do seem to develop a set way of making art as they mature.
Maybe if you offered the bean counters more money than they could recover from scrap ?

In all honesty ... i don't know how much help we can offer.
My guess would be that most of us have never even seen a crashed plane up close ... let alone scrapped one out.
Car wreck art might be easier to do ? Gawd, the local scrap yards must be loaded with cars that have been a wreck.
