    Highschool Scrapper

Hey guys what's up i'm a senior in highschool who recently got into scrapping to give me something to keep me busy from illegal activities. I've been struggling with mental health problems and drug addiction for 3 years. Recently got caught with a stolen credit card and some drugs and decided i had to find something to keep me busy. Started scrapping and have made 50$ so far :)) I love the aspect of taking things apart and making money as well as helping the environment. Can't wait to hangout on here, i've been lurking for a few days and decided it was time to make a post.

Life is a lot harder if you make it hard. Straighten out and work towards goals that with make life easier. We've all had our fun, but if you are getting caught doing bad things, you are doing it wrong. Let the other idiots do bad things and keep yourself out of trouble. Once you get caught up in the system, it is very hard to get yourself out.

Never got caught by anyone other than my parents who forwarded the evidence to the police, I've been letting the other idiots do bad things for about a month now (completely sober). Staying sober is hard as hell in highschool it seems like everyone likes getting ****ed up. Thank you for the advice I appreciate it.

Congrats on abandoning a very unpromising life of crime in favor of recycling. Mental illness is tough and can challenge sobriety. My advice is to read the old threads here to maximize both your efficiency and profits in scrapping and get a therapist you like and work with them. Depending on your diagnosis mental illness may or may not get easier with time but odds are infinitely better with professional help.
