    Post Northwestern Pennslyvania Scrappe

I am a 25 year old scrapper from Barkeyville, PA. Its a little town along I-80 that has nothing but trucking related businesses. My family drives truck that's just what most men in the area found to do. Right out of high school I got a job at a local garbage company greasing trucks that lasted a few years. Then I spent two years at a salvage parts exporter and dissmattled semi trucks, crushed buses, and cut up semi trailers. That is where I learned that's what I want to do I really like the industry.

After I left that place I bounced around to different jobs like construction and factory work . Ended up getting a job at a landfill where I learned a lot a heavy equipment and the waste management industry. That only increased my interest in the recycling business.

No I work for a fairly new business where we cut scrap on site. I been with this business since day one now I was their employee. I learned a lot since we started his and now I got employees under me so that's why I'm on here to learn from the all you guys. So thanks for all the good advice to you that give it.

Welcome to the forum from Las Vegas! I bicycled through your town once about 15 years ago on a bike ride from Chicago to New York!

I am less than an hour from you. Most of what I do to buy catalytic converters but I can help you out with core parts.
