Started in the 80's by running aircraft and industrial parts all over Florida from Jacksonville to Miami rebuild shops and up the West coast. My partner and my self had walk threw privileges at all major yards in the state. In those days it was a big family, deals were done with a hand shake and cash, no scales just point to it and load it up. My favorite story about finding weird scrap was in an Orlando yard, I discovered a pile of Military scrap that were the avionics and guidance section of the MIM-104 Patriot missile which used a 24 lb silver battery to power the steering hydraulics. We told the owner what we were buying and paid a premium price for the pile. Retired today, I still get excited going threw gaylords and pallets for gold scrap. Have a grate day .. Bob
