Just found this forum and was looking for information on torch cutting employment. My brother, who is not computer literate at all, has been going to scrap yards offering to be a burner. Some offer hourly, but several ask him to quote them by the ton. He really doesn't know what to say. I definitely don't know, but I told him I would try to do some research. Can't seem to find anything specific.




Does anyone here know what a fair rate to charge by the ton is? He said the last place he applied had several train cars they want processed.
