    Howdy from DFW!

Hey y'all, I'm new to the forum, but have been scrapping in my free time for about a year, focusing mainly on e-waste. I've recently wanted to learn more about the entire recycling process of specific electronics components and I'm really not sure where to start. Ultimately, I'd like to start a business, serving a TBD segment of the e waste chain.

Any advice or resources would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Recycling is not get rich quick. If you work long hard hours, develop a client base, know your materials, you have a decent chance at making it. Most people talk e-waste are one and done, it’s not easy. So read all the info on the site and good luck to you.

This is true. I have been at it about a year now and am only profitable by a very small margin. Ewaste is a hard one to make a ton on (as is all scrap related stuff) at first, until you build up a client base and can get things in volume. I still am not getting the volume of things I would like yet but am building slowly. If you stay it at, you CAN make a good bit of money, especially if you already have a source of steady scrap available to you.

My dream is in 5-10 years being able to fully replace my day job income with something recycling/re-use related. Just takes work and time.
