Thats why I have come, to learn what I can, and maybe find ways to increase my volume of material.
Apa, you say 100m north? I have family in PA, around the Greensburgh/Delmont area. Thank you both for the kind welcome.
Welcome!
This is not really a refining forum, usually when people come on here asking about chemicals and refining people point them towards a gold recovery/refining forum if they really want to get into that.... mostly here people just sell the items they have as-is in bulk, for pretty decent prices. The scale at which you need, and the skill, and the legality and dangers of the chemicals usually make it a non-profitable venture for most people. That's why most people here just sell their circuit boards for a few $ a lb and lets someone else deal with all that stuff....
If you want to do it because you are genuinely interested in refining and want to do it as a hobby/for fun and not to make money, that is definitely doable. But from a time/skill/costs/danger/risk/reward stance, it is better to just sell the material as is (at least that is the general consensus on here)
There may be 1 or 2 members here who have tried it and may weigh in, but for most, especially those who have never refined before or dont have a background with chemicals/refining who would just be "fiddling" around with them, its a better bet to just sell them as is. you can definetly make money just selling the boards, tons of people on here do, and there are tons of buyers and sellers on here of circuit boards.... just not many refiners.
