Quantifying the copper intensities in different types of air-conditioners

Hi all, I am currently doing research on the global end use of copper and was hoping that you would be able to assist. I would like to find out what the approximate/average copper content (in lbs or kg per unit) for different categories of cooling would be. The categories are Domestic refrigeration, Mobile AC, Residential AC, Commercial AC, Commercial refrigeration, Industrial AC, Transport refrigeration and Industrial refrigeration. I would really appreciate the help!

Good luck with your research, you'll not find the numbers your looking for on this forum or any other that I'm aware of.

I actually started a thread on Todd's back up forum, pounds of copper recovered from a 2 and 5 hp electric motors along with a couple of automotive starters.

But it became obvious after 89 posts on the new forum none of the new members or guests viewing the forum had any interest in furthering these conversations.

On the newly created form even a guest could post to a thread without going through the formality of joining the forum.

It takes considerable time to disassemble, weigh up the copper then post images, felt like I was talking into an empty drum, figured if Todd wasn't going to promote the forum and the new members were not going to contribute what was the point of posting.

So I did as any retailer would do for an item that doesn't sell, remove it from the shelves.
