Hello, all! I found SMF while researching buyers for low-alpha lead and low-alpha steel and just joined the forum today.
My name is Brian and, in addition to being on our exploration and recovery team, I head up Business Development & Karst Research for Aqua Quest International. Aqua Quest specializes in for-profit archeology; we pride ourselves on working closely with academia and host governments to preserve and share unique artifacts while selling artifacts deemed redundant to support our operation and generate a return for our investors.
I've been working with Aqua Quest - and our sister company, Aqua Quest River Woods - for a little over a year. Prior to joining Aqua Quest, I spent two decades in the corporate world, most recently as the VP for a tech manufacturer and a government procurement specialist for a large French company. Working at Aqua Quest is a LONG way from the office buildings and boardrooms I was used to but the experience has been wild and rewarding. From hunting for submerged caves in the northern autonomous region of Nicaragua to salvaging shipwrecks along the Atlantic Coast of the United States, there is never a dull day at Aqua Quest.
Anyway, I joined SMF primarily to learn more about the market for low-alpha metals but I'm interested in finding other ways to monetize our salvage claims, too. I look forward to seeing y'all around. If you have any questions, thoughts, etc, please don't hesitate to reach out. Cheers!
PS - Here are few pics from a recent salvage trip for tax. I'm the tall, goofy dude on the left in the group picture. Enjoy!
