    DPF for Sale

    Hello,
We have quite a bit of DPF from the inside of CATs

We were throwing it away but someone told me it was worth $$$.

Anyone know of someone near Memphis, TN that would be interested?

    Thanks!!

Some DPF comb is worthless, have it assayed.

    A tidbit on DEF fluid.

I actually found about quite a lot about DPF loose catalyst the past few days.
    1. there is a market
    2. It is a Class B felony to transport or sell with a license (Which I now have)
    3. there are 3 types of particulant in a converter that are priced separately so they cannot be comingled
    4. the material needs to be dry and clear of contaminants

If those steps are followed it can be lucrative.

Let me know if you are in the Memphis or surrounding area and I will help you.

Without an assay your loose catalyst has no value.

Thanks for your response. Actually that is not quite right. If they have a scanner that tells the content they can and will buy it.

Although I did a lot of things wrong in separating and storing I received over $8,000 for mine.

You have my undivided attention, how many pounds did you sell to get that $8000.00

So you received $13.33 a pound for loose comb, an assay of my material showed the value at $35.00 a pound and I've seen another fellows assay well over $100.00 a pound.

These assays were done in a laboratory with ICP not the hand held XRF analyser that you speak so highly of.

Now ask yourself why my material assayed so much lower than the other fellows.

For the answer to that question search the forum "City Cats"

I'll sell you the comb below at $8.00 a pound, it's worthless because they've already been stripped of values, without a proper ICP assay how do we really know the value of the loose comb your trying to sell.

These sweet looking John Deere DPF filters below have no precious metals value.

Sometimes it boils down to what someone is willing to pay for it. Personally those $100 bills fold and store alot easier than scrap.

If yo already have a buyer, why are you advertising to sell here on the scrap metal forum.

A picture is worth a thousand words.
