    Hi new and totally clueless

Hi, just joined and I have stumbled into e-scrap and am trying to figure it all out. Compared to most posts I have seen on various places online as far as e scrap goes I am definitely small potato's. And really anything beyond like CPU's RAM Mother and Circuit boards, Hard drives, I have no clue what I have. Am trying to get the courage up to ask what I have with pics, but I am probably going to be laughed at but the more I try to google sorting and identifying all I get is all different opinions and just making it more confusing. Need help for sure.So thank you for allowing me to join and ask a bunch of dumb questions.

Yep, and that's where the fun started. Had stuff given to me over a year ago and someone stuck it (it was in a duffel bag) on my front porch, and they got wet. Then I kamikaze style start dismantling stuff and now I don't remember what came from what, its all a jumbled mess. Yay.

If you were to spend 3 hours reading old posts on this site, you would be far ahead of most people. The knowledge and wisdom in the posts over the past years can help you make much more than you might believe possible. My first score was two computers and it went up from there. I owe it all to the information on this page. Start reading.

There is(or perhaps was) a thread in the electronics section that had photos of ewaste with the name of them. This alone with speed up your education. Then go to the buyers section and check on prices. On the buyers check to see if they have recent reviews on their thread. Note how each buyer prefers to be contacted and include photos of what you are selling if you don't know what you have. Some of the buyers will assist you with arranging shipping. We also have a "buyer" who can arrange shipping.

My advise is to keep reading the old threads and continue to collect material. 73, Mike

Thank you, will do that, I think my biggest obstacle will be what goes and what stays as far as making sure it is considered clean, I don't have the patience or the volume to break everything down, I just want to make sure I don't leave anything that would bring the value down, the few websites I have been to say excess metal, and I don't want to go tearing things off and possibly destroy it for something that didn't need removed in the first place, if that makes sense.

If you make a few more responses to threads you will be authorized to include photos. So photo your item you have a question on and start a thread.
Once you learn the basics you will more easily separate your materials. Your buyer will want your scrap separated so he doesn't have to.
The ADD/ADHD or whatever I have is tough to deal with but when set a priority each time/day/week etc I can get a lot accomplished. 73, Mike
