Started our in recycling in Chicago Ill. Worked in a Hygrade paper plant as a shift supervisor it was the best thing that ever happen to me work wise. I was hooked after the first day. Stayed on board for 20 plus years. Had a couple of jobs in paper recycling in sales as a mill buyer for paper mills and loved that too. I opened a small recycling company for post industrial plastic's it was a wild ride but was able to stayed in business for 7 yrs till health issues took its tool.. Recycling and scrapping is not for the weary. Took its toll on my knees, back and had to have pacemaker. So I retired but still had the bug I about fixed everything around the house and got very bored. I have good doctors and my overall heath is very good now. Had been retired but needed something to do, so I sold my motorcycle and got a trailer for metal scrapping. Haven't looked back since. I belive there is enough out there for anyone who wants to put in the effort. I not looking to get rich but I do love finding metal I call it Treasure hunting as I sure many other do.. I love street scrapping the best I have a few accounts that give me what I need. I work a couple days a week not everyday. I have found most sites like these the members are good people that like to help others doing the same thing. Thanks for allowing me as a new member and happy hunting.
