Just saying Hi I'm in the Northwest part of Ohio. I have done some scaping before but only as it presented itself now that my kids have all fledged the nest I have more time and looking for something to fill that void and some extra cash comes in handy for fishing trip and new shotguns. I'll fade into the background now and catch up on my reading before I ask any redundant nob questions.

Welcome to the empty nester forum. When the kids flew the coop, time for hunting, fishing, and scrapping became my full time job. When it started to become a business, it was time to scrap when the need presented itself, and hunt and fish full time. If there is a better lifestyle, it must be heaven because time and money take second priority to entertainment. To be fair many on the forum scrap for survival and it is a good, but rough life. Those that consider it a form of entertainment have a big advantage and perspective.
Many knowledgeable people on the forum and with the increase in prices, many old timers might return. You have the right strategy, read the old posts because they have a lot of valuable information. For many it is a question of what their time is worth. At this point in life waking up tomorrow is all the time I need and a blessing.
