Cool Hi From Grant County Indiana

    Hi everyone,

My name is Duke, and my son and I have kinda fallen into scrapping. We are moving out of our old family home, and we are scrapping out stuff that has piled up over the last 45 years. There is all sorts of stuff around here from copper wire in the barn, to old washing machine in the basement. We are learning a lot, and having fun. And I think breaking stuff may be my son's calling in life!

Welcome to the forum Duke...Take some time to sift thru some of the old threads and you will learn how to turn your stuff green.

Thanks for the welcome! I have been reading a bunch of threads on here and have learned a ton. We are just looking to make a few bucks, and have a good time keeping busy.

BTW, one topic I can't find would be info on large, braided aluminum wire cables. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be great!

    Thanks Again,
    Duke

Stranded aluminum wire is easily stripped using a box knife and sells as "Aluminum". Price is approx double that of "Insulated Aluminum".
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

unless you are talking about the one that has one strand of ferrous running through it. That's a pain in the arse to unravel, but it's worth it. Best to cut in short lengths to unravel if that's what you have. Good luck and welcome.
