Hey guys,
Great forum here. I'm 25 and started scrapping occasionally when a building was being torn down with permission from the foreman as long as it was on the weekend when no workers were present.
I'm an Office Manager, and even though the extra money from scrapping really helps, it does the environment good too. I guess now I "Don't mess with Texas" (non-Texans may not get that one)
Recently scrapped some TV's, copper wire and piping, and some AC coils... But my favorite is cans because even though time consuming to collect... It pays and helps the environment as I snag plastic as well.
Since I've enjoyed scrapping I've lurked the forums and decided to join so here I am.
Seems like some cool knowledgable people here and I'm one talkative dude lol. Basically here to learn and make friends.
It's been harder and more time consuming since all my power tools were stolen, but hey, I don't mind the elbow grease. Two nights ago I spent a few hours with a box cutter and a screw driver removing copper pipe from the AC coils. Pain in the but? Yes. Worth the time? Absolutely. I put on some music and work away.
Looking forward to learn and make some pals.
