Hello all. I've been here for a while, but don't post much.
I've been scrapping my whole life. I started by saving copper/brass from construction sites in high school. I scrapped all through college and made more in my spare time than most of my friends who went to school and had full time jobs.
Currently I work for a small sanitation company, which is where I get most of my scrap. I also get scrap from a plumber, auctions, farm sites, and a trailer company. Right now I'm trying to expand. The sanitation company has a very good reputation around here, so it opens allot of doors for me. The owners let me use their equipment/tools and help me every chance they can. Eventually I would like to get all the scrap at our county dump, do electronic drives, and have an appliance drop off. I just started talking with our county head of recycling and waste about some of these ideas.
Take care
david
