    Hi Y'all

Let me introduce myself. I am Scrapette, a relative novice to scrapping. Well, I've done a little in the past, but now due to financial considerations, I need to up my game considerably. I live in a small town in Kentucky with few jobs ( even fewer jobs if you are over fifty like me). Scrapping for me has gone from being a cool thing to do to earn extra money to being my main survival strategy. I also pick/dumpster dive and do flea markets and dog-sit and paint rooms for relatives - you get the idea - what I can find that's legal and not morally challenging.

I can't tell you how pleased I was to find this forum. I've found a lot of useful information on this site and am looking forward to learning even more and getting to know other scrappers.

Welcome to the Forum, Scrapette. I know what you mean about the job-hunting. I was 31 when a manager / old friend let me in on the problem - I was just plain too old for the jobs I was applying for. Then when I retired at 54 and applied for part-time jobs, I couldn't even get an interview. So I made my own job.-
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Yeah, I finally accepted the reality of age discrimination, but it still pisses me off !
    Thanks for your reply.

Most the older folks can do twice the work of generation what-ever-it-is these days, if given the chance. Welcome...Looking forward to getting to know you.
