Best way to get a correct answer is to strip the cable down to bare copper. Depending on the diameter will determine if it is #1 or #2 copper. Weigh just the copper and then contact your local salvage yards and ask them the price of #1 and #2 copper. Also ask for the price of lead. You will get the highest price for clean metals. By "clean" I mean no other materials as in only copper, only Al, only steel, only brass etc. If you hand them copper encased in lead you will get a little better than lead for the price but no where near the price of #2 copper. If you really want to know take a little of the cable you have as is and see what they will pay for it. Best of luck and welcome to the forum, Mike.
