    Hello all,
Been looking around on the site for a couple of days now, looks like a lot of good informatoin on here, cant wait to learn and to be able to help others make more money too.
I am in the military and look to be getting out in the next year or so.
I get the majority of my scrap metal from garbage nights, have given my number to a couple of people when they saw me picking up things from their trash, actually got a call back from that person too.
I have been scrappin for 4-5 months, been doing prety good, now that the summer is over things have been slowing down, my weekly loads are getting smaller.
I started doing this when my father-in-law and I cleaned out the garage, and made some decent coin. From that day on we have been going at it steady, our town has garbage pick up 6 days a week in the summer and 5 days a week the rest of the year.
There isnt much competition here and I actually got tired of seing so much metal going to the dump, was already trolling for antiques. We have been very buisy since we started, the things people here throw away never cease to amaze me, so far my goodie list includes 13 wrought iron pattio chairs from the 50's that go on ebay for about $300 each, many interion design things and antiques that go to the antique stores (i dont scrap everything), and best/coolest so far was the 7 rolls of silver dimes and 2 $50's tucked away in an antique suitcase that will go to the antique store.
I guess that will do for now, happy to be here hope to learn from everyone and if i can teach others i will be happy to do that too.
    Brandon

I was thinking about joining them...I wanted to fly the fighter jet...but they told me since I was home schooled I would most likely not be able to fly....so I did not join..I still think about it from time to time that I should of just so I could see the world and learn many things along the way.

    Easy,
Ive been i for 20 years now, have lived in Germany, England, Korea, Arizona, New Jersey, short visits to Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. Its been an exciting ride for a kid from South Eastern Oklahoma. Wait, Im not a kid anymore.
I can say that i haven't ran into anyone who was home schooled in the military, dont know if they were blowing smoke or telling the truth. If you wanted to be a pilot you would have had more than a HS deploma anyway so it shouldnt have been a factor.

Well..I don't know...one of those things where you don't know what would of happened until you are dead and see the reply of your live and what could of happened at the many forks in life.

So far..I am pretty happy with the fork I took as I am running a company that is growing pretty fast and I enjoy what I am doing....still need to learn how to fly one day.
