I am in ewaste or collect electronics since I have been in IT for last 6yrs but I am diving into scrap metal also. I go to business events and pass out my flyers. Also, stop by mechanic shops, etc. Anywhere that business do not have time to deal with non-working parts or excess metal related things. I do all this during my break and part time. It is fun when the you connect with these individual business owners. build rapport and they will call you and give you all there trash, which in turn is your profit. Success to you.
