    Hello from New Hampshire

    Hello Everyone,

I am a wife/mother/post-secondary english student who just 'officially' started scrapping in August (with my dog, Gracie, the other 'lady' in Lady Scrappers). We started with answering ads on craigslist, looking for construction dumpsters and handing out cards to contractors, thrift shops, mechanics, housing authorities, and anywhere else we could think of, and am just starting to build up a client base now. We will scrap anything and everything we can, and still have a lot to learn.

Hope to learn from you all and maybe make some friends!

    Dominique

Thank you for the welcome! I've found this business is hard, dirty and sometimes dangerous (gotten beat up by a dishwasher before but it's so fascinating that I don't want to stop. This forum is great!

Hey, neighbor! Thank you for the welcome. Used to live in Fort Kent and went to school in Presque Isle...are you that far north, or further south?

Ah yes, Caribou - isn't that where the air force base used to be? (Can't remember...it was over 15 years ago when I lived there). I remember crossing the border there to go dancing when I was in college.

    Submarine Painter,

Small world isn't it? I don't know how much Maine has built up since I lived there, but used to be you could go to the mall in Bangor, and no matter where in ME you lived you would see someone you knew there!

Just northeast of there yes. I lived there over 20 years ago so hard to remember it myself. All I know is **** that was alot of snow in the winter time.

Mapquest it. Limestone is north and east of caribou and P.I. is due south of caribou.
