Welcome and read, read, read the old posts here. There is tons to learn here for free but try using the search feature as much as possible. People get cranky when new people show up and ask "where can I find metal to recycle?". I best advise is to tear things apart to find out what's inside. No teacher like experience. Again welcome to the forum, Mike.

Vall, Miked is right, on all accounts. There is a ton of information here.

It will take some time learning everything about "scrapping", but, it's well worth the investment.

    Good luck and "welcome."

Welcome and good luck with your scrapping. There is metal all over the place and a thorough read of this forum and the archives will really help you see it where you may not have seen it before (e.g. Christmas tree lights!).
