Smile Hello from the north west of Canada!

My name is Hannu which is a popular Finnish name, but I find; not so popular around these parts. I'm semi-retired. My hobby is metalwork' ie welding, forging etc. During my scrounging for free materials I got bit by the scrapping bug. Now that my eyes are open to it, I see copper and brass and stainless, free for the picking, often and all over the place. I once jumped into a transfer bin to retrieve a sizeable roll of 3/4" soft copper tubing and had to have help getting back out 'cause it was so deep! I think its a sin to bury stuff like that and I feel good about my recycling. I know that some folks look down their noses at the likes of myself and I pity them that they are so disconnected from reality.
Maybe I should change my handle to "Gabby" LOL. Anyway, looks like there is much that I can learn from the members here and hopefully I can contribute something back.
