I've been reading this great forum for a few months now and appreciate the information being passed along. I started collecting newspapers and aluminum cans when I was ten and found out you could get money for what people would throw out. I have often grabbed discarded items from the curb or dumpster if I thought they had value. Now 33 years and several careers (Army, post office, IT and 2 businesses) later I am scrapping nearly full-time. I am a PT bartender and do some construction work but have now dedicated most of my free/work time to scrapping. Just started scrapping steel and breaking down the 20 old PC's I had accumulated. Looking to scrap some old (50's) trucks on a property for sale close to home so please forgive any questions that seem obvious. Hope to participate more in the future.
