    Newbie from Connecticut

I got into scrapping very recently, I wasn't even aware that people scrapped things smaller than cars until my uncle mentioned getting money for a bucket of old nails when he redid his deck.

I started doing some research into recycling old electronics and I learned about the value of precious metal in computers and other electronics. I've been around computers my whole life and I am amazed at the value of stuff I have thrown out or paid to have recycled. I've had a few tech jobs where I've handled stuff being tossed that I now know had a lot of scrap value - countless computers, tons of copper wire, and more electronics.

I'm interested in learning more about scrapping metals and electronics for fun and profit. Taking stuff apart is a lot of fun when I don't need to put it back together!

Welcome Steve, I think a lot of us on here with we has do-overs on some of the stuff we have tossed. No looking back now, good luck in making some cash.

Welcome and I agree. I wish I could get back the stuff I have thrown out in the past.
