    I've lurked long enough.

I've lurked long enough and figured it was time to introduce myself. About six month ago I began searching the web for answers to the proper way to scrap metals and came across this forum. I've search and read almost all the threads and found a wealth of information for which I wanted to thank all of you.

My name is Jim and I am an avid woodworker. This past summer I purchased some ajoining property which has many tons of old farm machinery amoung the trees and been spending my spare time cleaning up the property and have found scrapping to be both enjoyable and profitable.

So that's my intro, no questions, just a big thank you!

    Jim

    Welcome Rusty,

I enjoy woodworking as well. have you came across the woodwhisperer yet? He might be too basic for you, but for me it is a great information source.

    have a good one,

Welcome Jim. Thanks for the intro and taking the time to do some research. I bet sifting through all that old stuff was like a hands on history lesson and was very cool. Then to be able to make some cash just makes it win-win. Looking forward to hearing about the experience.

Thanks for the welcome. Yes it was/is interesting going thru the old machinery. It is certainly a work in progress as the trees started growing everywhere. I have taken quite a few pictures this summer and will share some of them when I have enough posts to gain pix posting permission.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks MelRay.

I'm about an hour south east of Rice Lake. That's some beautiful country up there.

You can't post pics? That's not supposed to happen :/

Seeing if I can fix that now.

Wasn't me, must have been that other admin's fault

Edit - You should be able to post images now.

Been there / done that and sometimes ya just torch on either side of the tree and leave some seed to see if it'll grow another combine.
