I've lurked long enough.

I've lurked long enough and figured it was time to introduce myself. About six month ago I began searching the web for answers to the proper way to scrap metals and came across this forum. I've search and read almost all the threads and found a wealth of information for which I wanted to thank all of you.

My name is Jim and I am an avid woodworker. This past summer I purchased some ajoining property which has many tons of old farm machinery amoung the trees and been spending my spare time cleaning up the property and have found scrapping to be both enjoyable and profitable.

So that's my intro, no questions, just a big thank you!

Thanks for the welcome. Yes it was/is interesting going thru the old machinery. It is certainly a work in progress as the trees started growing everywhere. I have taken quite a few pictures this summer and will share some of them when I have enough posts to gain pix posting permission.

Welcome to the forum.. Was a lurker myself for quite awhile. Still am... Was originally from Rice Lake, Any place close to you?
I read the forum everyday I can, and your right it has a wealth of information. Sometimes you can't find the answer to a question you have, but if you look long enough, it is there.

Been there / done that and sometimes ya just torch on either side of the tree and leave some seed to see if it'll grow another combine.
