Hello Scrapers!
I have been reading these forums for quite a while of and on, and finally signed up. So as it should be the first order of business was to stop by in this area and do a proper introduction.
I live in eastern Ontario, Canada, and I work as a self employed finish carpenter. I am quite successful as a carpenter, but I suck as a business man. Truthfully between the economy and my lack of business skills I have been finding my job less and less satisfying for some time now.
I have long been interested in recycling for profit. Maybe its just me but I hate to see waste just hauled of to the dump. Not just talking metals here, but all sorts of things like wood, gypsum etc.
I live on a farm, and cleaning up the place is what got me interested in scrapping for money. It was also a good start on learning how to not make what you should at the scrap yard!
Right now I'm seriously looking at doing more scraping to supplement my income. I'm mostly interested in vehicles and ewaste for now.
