    scrappy in NC

    hello all,
I'm new to the scrapping world, but have always looking for new ways to make money (dont we all)! Recently i have had a lot of extra time on my hands and a truck not getting used so time to get to work! I became interested just from watching how many cans i throw away. Now im realizing theres a whole lot more out there than 50 cent a pound cans. I'm looking forward to learning more about the trade.

hi and welcome to the forum. i am in newport, and you are the second person from jacksonville ive ran into here.i always enjoy talking a little metal with somebody, maybe we can meet up sometime and shoot the scrap. i scrap a little bit of everything from cans to removing old sheds to stripping wire. i am amazed at the amount of money that gets thrown away everyday. it is all around you if you are willing to do a little work and dont mind getting dirty.i wish i could have found this forum when i first started scrapping. i am still kicking my own butt over all the money i missed out over the years because i didnt know what something was or didnt know that it was worth money. this forum is full of great info and tricks if you take the time to do a little reading. i learn something to help me make a little bit more money every time i read through the old threads here. good luck good scrappin be smart and be safe.
