    new from nj

Hello. My name is Justin and I am from south jersey. I've been reading the forums for a few months. I have always had an interest in scrap metals since i was a kid but never really got involved in it. I purchased a house that needed to be pretty much gutted completely on the inside and that is how I became interested again. I had to replace most of the electric and plumbing along with everything else and that is how my pile began. Now any scrap metal/electronic I come across i load up in my car and add to the pile. I'm not really looking to make it into a job more of just a hobby that pays for itself since have always enjoyed breaking things down. And also a little extra money laying around never hurt anybody. My gf and family think I may be going crazy since they don't see anything but trash but to me all that I see is dollar signs.

This was a load that was saved up and broken all the way down,(computer parts) we hauled to Ohio and got a $2200. payday out of it so just let them laugh.
And this one was around a $850.00 load local scrap.

Welcome to the forum. I too enjoy the hunt and breaking down everything. The more you break down you will learn what is worth the time and what is not. Also with experience you will better understand the old posts and learn even quicker, Mike.

My wife hated the thought of copper being a business. She told me that I could do better with my degrees. Then I paid for a very nice vacation out of the earnings of my little hobby. Never heard another word about it again.:-)

thanks everyone. Don't have much ewaste at the moment, maybe 10 towers worth, but hoping to come across more. Lol. Gonna need to borrow a friends truck soon to make a trip to a yard to get rid of the bulky steel items. Anybody from N.J. Have any recommendations on a yard they use in the Camden area?
